Recipe for the day ~ Bacon Wrapped Smokies


Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Ingredients;
1 pound sliced bacon, cut into thirds
1 (14 ounce) package beef cocktail weiners
3/4 cup brown sugar, or to taste

Directions;
Preheat oven to 325
Refrigerate 2/3 of the bacon until needed (It's easier to wrap the weiners with cold bacon)
Wrap each cocktail weiner with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick
Place on a large baking sheet
Sprinkle with brown sugar generously all over
Bake for about 40 minutes or until the sugar is bubbly
To serve, place the weiners in a slow cooker and keep on the lowest setting (usually there is a warm setting)
